Welcome aboard. I agree with Shane. I would advise you to travel down south for the HOD or the Johnson Get Together(Yes, things are looking good for a get together this year, stay posted for dates & times) There is no substitute for putting your hands & eyes on the dogs you see on the internet. One of the best things i ever did was team up with Aaron Rose for a 6 day, 3,000 mile roadtrip to see about 10 kennels from Ga to Indiana, & we still wished we had another week to spend, we didn't see half the dogs we wanted. I definitely recommend you talk to Aaron @ Rose Valley, since he's in your "sphere of influence", even though I realize Ca. is a big place. Good luck.
