Diamond was the dog food John D used for yrs. The Naturals is better than that. It was recalled about 2-3 yrs ago for something wrong with the corn but it wasn't a nation wide recall. Diamond Naturals wasn't recalled. It has no corn. There is a recall right now and one a yr ago with 100's of dog foods on it. This is a great food. If I could afford an all raw diet that's what I would feed. When you have 5,6,7, or 8 or more dogs you have to feed the best food you can afford. Isn't Cannidea really expensive. This food is 19.99 a 40 bag. I mix it with about 1lb of raw chicken a day for better nutrition. It's a good food and I have paid for more expensive foods like Nupro and they weren't as good. Dogs with allergies sometimes have to go through several different foods before they find the right one. Usually not all dog foods are good for every dog. Some will affect certain dogs different ways. I have good luck out of this food. If you have it out of yours than that's what you should use. Purina foods give my dogs the runs but some people's dogs do good on them.
