You are right, the recall from 2 years back was nothing but Diamond foods. The problem was Aflatoxin. They made up batches of food and sent it out before it was tested...and yes many dogs died from it....they are now under a class action law suit. Just thought you might like to know the facts. We were feeding Diamond at that time, and thank GOD we did not have any sick dogs. We had to send a sample off to Clemson to have it tested, the Diamond Representitive wanted us to let them know of the results......thought that was kind of strange. IMO better to be safe than SORRY!

: Diamond was the dog food John D used for yrs. The Naturals is better than that. It was
: recalled about 2-3 yrs ago for something wrong with the corn but it wasn't a nation
: wide recall. Diamond Naturals wasn't recalled. It has no corn. There is a recall
: right now and one a yr ago with 100's of dog foods on it. This is a great food. If I
: could afford an all raw diet that's what I would feed. When you have 5,6,7, or 8 or
: more dogs you have to feed the best food you can afford. Isn't Cannidea really
: expensive. This food is 19.99 a 40 bag. I mix it with about 1lb of raw chicken a day
: for better nutrition. It's a good food and I have paid for more expensive foods like
: Nupro and they weren't as good. Dogs with allergies sometimes have to go through
: several different foods before they find the right one. Usually not all dog foods
: are good for every dog. Some will affect certain dogs different ways. I have good
: luck out of this food. If you have it out of yours than that's what you should use.
: Purina foods give my dogs the runs but some people's dogs do good on them.
