yeah im sorry but i question your taste a bit Ricky.. haha. no worries.
also.. how the hell can you hate The Lamia!??? its beautiful. thats possibly my 2nd favorite on there (or 1st, but theres way too many to choose between, "In The Cage" is fantastic, "Carpet Crawlers" is an obvious winner and no, the remake is WAY worse, and "Fly On A Windshield" is REALLY powerful after it picks up)
and yeah, its not at all a guitar-dominated album, but so what? guitars are overused (i play guitar, and wish i played piano instead to be honest.. or bass, thats an ever-useful instrument) usually, and Steve Hackett's unbelievable restraint and incredible taste when playing (my GOD) is mind-blowing. the guitar moments wouldnt be as special if he wanked everywhere like Howe (who is great in his own way). in fact, thats why "The Supernatural Anaethetist" cheapens things so much, nobody needs a whole-song-guitar-solo, it kills Steve's presence.
but yeah The Wall is absolutely no match for it, and I'd say the only Floyd albums that are at all are Wish You Were Here and Animals (though i really do enjoy Meddle easily as much as those two, but its objectively not as good filler-wise). and i would still in no circumstance call either one better than The Lamb. Peter Gabriel Genesis > the rest of prog combined.. no joke
