Totally go for Larks Tongues in Aspic and Red by Crimson.
As for the Yes material, definitely Close to the Edge and even The Yes Album. There are some great rhythms in there.
If you want to see how ridiculous he is in the realm of Jazz Fusion, pick up Feels Good to Me and One of a Kind. He is insane on those albums.
Also, just an aside: if anyone doubts Phil Collins' technical abilities on the drums (although I don't see how, but some people exist that do), pick up Brand X's Unorthodox Behaviour. Seriously, it's insane. I felt the need to mention that, since Bill was Phil's mentor of sorts.

: Wow, I totally hear it now. My ears must be
: wired strangely. How did I miss that?
: Thanks, you're right, Heart Of The Sunrise
: is ridiculous in the drumming department,
: and I suddenly noticed all sorts of creative
: percussion throughout the rest of the album.
:
: My original plan was to finish up my
: Gabriel-era Genesis collection, but with the
: remixes coming out, finding copies of the
: CDs is nigh on impossible, so maybe I'll
: just concentrate on Yes instead, and several
: others whose discographies require
: completing.

: Just a few days ago, I bought Fragile as my
: first Yes album (my only serious exposure to
: prog otherwise has been Genesis). First of
: all, I would definitely like to say I am
: immensely impressed, though I do still like
: Selling England better. But that's not the
: point. While Chris Squire's talents are
: readily apparent to me, for some reason I
: seem to be missing something with Bill
: Bruford.
:
: I really want to appreciate Bill like
: everybody else does and see why he's one of
: the greatest drummers of all time, and I
: realize this is only my first Yes album, but
: I'm just straining to hear what makes him so
: special. Just as a side note, I always tend
: to have this problem with drummers; it took
: forever for the greatness of Stewart
: Copeland to dawn on me, for example. I
: definitely think the problem is on my end,
: not Bill's.
:
: So could somebody give me a specific song,
: instance, or section to watch out for on
: Fragile as far as drumming is concerned?
: That would be greatly appreciated.
