Well, he DID drum a little in the 80s...
Again, I don't listen much to to either Yes or King Crimson, KC is just to experimental for my tastes. Although I won't deny the talent of Robert Fripp. (I'd even go as far to say that Tony Levin is the greatest bassist who ever lived) But since I don't liston much to either, I couldn't give a real review of Bruford
And is there any vocals in Brand X or is it an instrumental group?

: I won't go so far as to say it's the best
: drumming I've ever heard, but John has a
: point. The main factor between Bruford and
: Collins is that Bruford inspired Collins,
: and when the 80s rolled around, Bruford
: spent his time revamping his entire mode
: of attack, while Collins succumbed to 80s
: genericism, and preferred the use of drum
: machines instead. Granted he pulled off
: some great feats with drum machines, but in
: the end they seized control of him to where
: he never recovered.

: To Ricky: Brand X is jazz fusion.
