The Persona series, as was mentioned, and The World Ends With You were really good. And for RPGs set in the future, you can't do better than the Fallout series. I know Fallout 3 is the most popular one right now, but Fallout and Fallout 2 are just as good, if not better.
Also, I didn't like Morrowind at all, but I did kind of like Oblivion. Truth be told, I don't mind the fantasy setting for most RPGs. I just didn't like how Morrowind (and, to a lesser extent, Oblivion) gave you basically no direction whatsoever. In Morrowind, you didn't even have a map, and your quest log was filled with things like "Go find my lost
