He posted his video and I was all exited for a short time. I thought he would surely post even more masterpieces in the future! Then I saw his website, which blew my mind with its groundbreaking "under construction" format. I had butterflies in my stomach from merely anticipating the amazing musical reviews that would arise from this page. Surely the great artist known as Pete Anderson would flip my opinions upside-down! His old review site would have nothing on this new one.
But then the amazing happened... He took the video down (and subsequently his web page). My mind was completely blown! Now I must sustain my need for pure unadulterated Art through only my memories of this incredible performance. What a terrific idea! It's like if Da Vinci put The Mona Lisa on display, for a scant 12 hours. All those who saw it would have been astounded and moved to tell others, but the could not show others because the picture was gone, thus the legend of the painting would have grown and grown. What he has done here is a masterstroke of genius to eclipse all others.
I await with bated breath for his return to the spotlight. It will likely, once again, be all too brief. But past encounters with the Artist Pete have shown these moments are worth waiting for whether they come once once every month or once a year. With this astounding performance Pete Anderson has forever secured his place among the great recluses of our recent history: Thomas Pynchon, Stanley Kubrick, Scott Walker, Bobby Fischer.
Thank you Pete Anderson, Thank you. You have changed my life forever in a profound way, through your art. And as a great artist once said "If your message can get through to even just one person, you have accomplished you job as an artist". Once again: Thank you
