I've gotta admit, I was surprised by your review of Lather, based on the mediocre reviews of it's associated albums (none of which I've heard) I didn't see how it could be any good at all, let alone great. But of course my curiosity is piqued now. Can the track sequencing really make that much of a difference when the album is so ridiculously long? I assume you didn't listen to it all in one sitting each time. Also, for a semi-casual Zappa fan like myself, would you recommend just completely skipping out on his '78-'79 albums (except Joe's Garage) and going straight to Lather for those songs?
