You like Deep Purple way more than I do

MkII is mostly classic of course, but for me everything else is such an endless stream of *dont care* that I've never really been able to view them as a (airquotes) "great band". ho-hum.

I spun those two Howe albums a while back but the only thing I remember from either of them was that his voice sucks when it's not third in the mix behind Jon & Chris and I really liked the title track of "Beginnings". it's very pretty. The Steve Howe album didn't make much of an impression on me (I did only listen to it once), so I guess I should return to it at some point.
