Even the music community itself seems split between people who practically worship the band as mythical forefathers of everything cool (while only talking vaguely about their actual music) and people crapping on them for being dated, overrated, repetetive, simplistic etc. Only a few people (like our John here) seem to take some kind of middle ground on the issue.
