I remember in 2003, I commented on what was essentially a message board consisting of alumni from my high school (I went to a residential school for nerds, so the alumni have tighter bonds than perhaps alumni from many high schools would) that I'd finally heard VU and Nico and enjoyed it. Somebody commented that seeing my posts about getting into music reminded them of playing Civ2 and seeing "The Egyptians have discovered Chemistry" in 1921. I was pissed off.
