What I find so far is that when I listen to the frenzy section in something like 21st century schizoid man. I hear sounds of the apocalypse.
When I listen to a lot of jazz (so far the davis, coltrane and mingus on the summary list), I just hear a trumpet solo. I don't really seem to 'get' the context/atmosphere or emotions on what the instruments playing represents. So far it is a collection of notes rather than anything emotional.
