I certainly enjoy it. I've heard a few of the others mentioned by you and dok, and I have Pink Flag. I'll be sure to check out The Sound.

: I've sort of stumbled into that niche in my
: blog, simply because most other WRC sites
: don't cover the genre so much:

:
: Browse around. The Sound in particular are
: very highly recommended, particularly their
: first two albums.
:
: For 21st century bands, Interpol do the Joy
: Division-lite thing quite well.
:
: Some other obvious choices -
:
: Gang of Four - Entertainment!
: Wire (any of the first 3 albums)
: Siouxsie & the Banshees - The Scream;
: Kaleidoscope; Juju
: The Stranglers - Black & White (not
: usually considered post-punk because they
: preceded punk, but a massive influence on
: Joy Division - that bass playing style had
: to have roots somewhere!) Anyway, their
: darkest, weirdest, and post-punkiest.
: The Fall - oh hell, just read my or Mark
: Prindle's reviews!
:
: PIL - Metal Box, yes, but I never got into
: the Minutemen. Violent Femmes are OK but I
: never thought of them as post-punk - a
: three-piece, mostly acoustic psychobilly
: band (and I do mean psycho).
