I keep trying to figure out why I should feel guilty or stupid about enjoying Ween, and I keep failing. So ultimately I'm satisfied with my gut instincts that lead to me enjoying the crap out of Ween. If it shatters my credibility, so be it; I'm just flattered I had the illusion of it to begin with. I'm quite sure there will be other cases in the future that disappoint readers just as much.
