This is a particularly difficult area of research because about 80% of the personnel records of World War II veterans were destroyed in a fire at the Federal Records Center in St. Louis, Missouri in the nineteen seventies. If you have not done so already, suggest you request whatever information pertaining to Mr. Fitzpatrick, if any, may have survived the fire. Go to the site below:
