Posted by Tim Scherrer on October 12, 2005, 12:45 am We are preparing our Reenacting group for the trip to the Ft Indiantown Gap Bulge event and have decided to name our Task Force after PFC McGinley. This is what we have on him. Does anyone have anything else on him? PFC William J McGinley was a member of the 334th Anti-Tank Company, and served in the 84th Infantry Division from the beginning to the end of the war. He was originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I became familiar with him due to a Belgian family adopting his grave. Upon researching him and his unit, I realized this soldier survived the entire war only to die the day after the war ended. He is not listed as KIA but listed as a death. PFC McGinley fought the e! ntire war only to perish in an accident or from illness the day after the 84th ID stopped fighting. Honoring a soldier who survived the entire war but still never returned home is the intent of naming this after PFC McGinley. Thanks Tim Scherrer

First off, thanks to Alan and John for answering all these inquiries. I know how time consuming they can be, but how gratifying they are.
