It was evtremely damaged, but I am able to retrieve highlights from the information. I retain the grades from his ASTP. He was at Camp Bowey, Camp Marcey and Camp Hood, Texas as part of the Company 4 Rcn 823 T.D. BN. It has given me much to be thankful for the sacrafice that was given to defend out precious freedom. Allen:
Was at Lafayette PA.for a year and transfered to Camp Clairbourn LA.May 4 1944 where he became part of the 2 platoon I Company 333rd Regiment 84th Division. Shipped out Sept. 20 1944, ariving at Glasgow Scotland Oct. 1 1944. Left Southampton Nov. 1 1944 Intering France Nov. 2 1944. Transfered to an area around Heerlen Holand. He partisipated in "Operation Clipper", Geilenkirchen Germany.. He also partisipated in the Bulge around Marche. His Company defended the road from Manhey to Houffaelize. He fought in Operation Granade. where Feb. 1945 he was hospitalized for 3 months in England. In May 1945 He was transfered to France until he departed the EAME on Jan 30 1946 arriving NY Feb 11 1946.
