Posted by MAJ Tim Scherrer We are seeking any other after action reports or original documents that may be of use to family members, vets. They can be of any level but we do ask that they pertain to more than one person. For instance, discharge papers or individual awards would not be suitable because they apply to just one person. After action reports, newspapers from units, unit histories, and other resources would be useful. The intent is to create a website that has the major documents about the division available for downloading. We get a few requests a month for assistance with finding out about relatives in the division, and having an electronic library would save people hundreds of dollars going to the archives for information, and allow people instantaneous information about their family members. If you are interested in donating copies of documents, contact me at soldierboy440@yahoo.com or at 573-489-4891. We will take the copies, scan them in, and post them on the website. The Railsplitters living history group is in the process of building an electronic library of original 84th ID documents. We have a few on our webpage, and are getting ready to put the entire 334th Infantry Regiment after action reports on our website.
