The roster for the 309th Engineer Combat Battalion lists Pfc. Warren H. Graham of Commerce, Texas as a member of Headquarters, Service Company and Medical Detachment. There is no further information. The introduction to the roster notes: "The roster of this battalion is not complete and contains several mistakes. The original roster was lost due to unavoidable circumstances. When the loss was discovered the records were no longer available. The roster was compiled from the best information that could be obtained." A search of the rosters for 84th Division units failed to find a listing for the name J. W. Barron. The closest is Joseph J. Barron of Brownwood, Texas who was a member of Company D, 334th Infantry. If you have information as to his regiment, company, or other unit I would be glad to search further.
