As a point of clarification, I've been reminded that Dad was captured during the battle for Lindern, Germany during which K-335 lost almost half of its soldiers.
However, it was not the only action in which the company participated. Company K-335,reconstituted by replacements, was back on the line in the same place a few
days later. We went on through the war and ended on the Elbe River, forty-five
kilometers from Berlin on VE-Day. Thanks to Mr. Howerton for keeping me straight on the facts! I apologize for the oversight!
