The 84th Division roster lists Johnny Jones of Hyden, Kentucky as a member of Company M, 335th Infantry. His rank was Tec 4 and the listing notes service in the Northern France and Central Europe campaigns. His service in Northern France was most likely with another unit as the 84th Division fought only in the Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. As the listing indicates service with the 84th only during the Central Europe campaign, he may have been assigned to the division after service during the Battle of the Bulge with another unit or there could be an omission error in the roster. The roster does not contain a photograph.
