My family and I are looking for anyone who knew my father-in-law, William (Bill) (Mac) Magill, a rifleman in Company L, 335th. (Pre-war, he'd lived in Northeast Ohio, and was a Drexel engineering student and maybe an ASTPer.) Pfc Magill was hit by shrapnel Dec 1, 1944, in Lindern and was evacuated out to England. He spent 4-5 months in hospital in England, and was then a patient in Kennedy General Hospital (Memphis, Tenn.) until his discharge, June, 1945. We would love to get in touch with anyone who knew Mac during his military years, 1943-1945. He never spoke of the war and died of his injuries in 1976, leaving behind 6 children... and 17 grandchildren who have never known him. THANKS! And God bless you all for your service to your country. We can never repay you...... Sharon Magill
