Seales" http://www.archives.gov/dc-metro/suitland/ Once the date is determined you can consult other pertinent records to try and determine where the company was deployed at that time and the battle situation. His wounds were most likely severe as, per the roster, he never returned to the company. The 84th Division was not at Bastogne. It defended the northwest shoulder of the Bulge south ot the Meuse river in the vicinity of Marche-en-Femenne, Belgium and Givet, France.

The 84th Division roster lists Pfc. William T. Seales of Boston, Massachusetts of Company F, Second Battalion, 335th Infantry as serving only during the Rhineland campaign. This means that he was wounded during the division's operations in the Siegfried line in the general vicinity of Geilenkirchen, Germany between late November and December 21, 1944 when the division was reassigned from the Siegfried Line to participate in the Ardennes campaign (Battle of the Bulge). He was most likely wounded in the Lindern-Leiffarth area where his unit was most heavily engaged. To determine the exact date, suggest you request copies of monthly Historical Data reports for Company F-335 for November and December 1944 from the Suitland, Maryland facility (filed with official 84th Division records) of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
