Hello and please forgive me for such a strange request. I am an 8th grade English teacher by trade, but am especially interested in military history as well. One of my students brought in a photo in late June that was found in his mother's stash of family photos. They believe him to be a relative, but they are both unsure. The photo was identified as being TSGT. Ivan H. Byers, Company K, 335th Infantry, 84th Infantry Division. They asked if I could find them any information on who he was and what he may have done during his time in the service. I have been able to find great amounts of information on the amazing 335th's role during the war, but his name has not been mentioned in any found record. Would anyone have any information or stories about Mr. Byers? Again, if this is an intrusion, my apologies and please delete this message if you see fit. 212
