Both Arthur Miller and William Leake were killed in action on 12.29.44 on the way into Lindern. Their names are listed in the division roster as KIA on that day; this means that their deaths were confirmed as of that time. Subsequently, six additional Company B-335 men were killed in action at Lindern during the period November 30-December 4. These fatalities were due to artillery fire and/or German counterattacks against the company's defensive positions. 235
