The 84th Division roster notes that Pfc. Donald G. Okenfuss of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri was a member of Company K, 333rd Infantry. He served during all three of the division's campaigns (Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe). Your grandfather's name was read and taps was played at the Memorial Service for Railsplitters deceased during the past year at the Springfield, Illinois reunion on Sunday, August 26, 2007. He was a life member of the Railsplitter Society.
