He was in Company D, 335th Infantry Regiment and I was in Company K. There were approximately 5,000 men in each World War II infantry regiment. Company K and the Third Battalion also crossed the Weser River in assault boats that morning. Our crossing was completed at 6.38 a.m., about thirty minutes after that of Company D and the First Battalion. We also had little opposition during the crossing but heavy fighting afterwards.

Yes, it is the same person. Haralson is the name of the county in which the town of Bremen is located. It is in northeast Georgia near the Alabama border, about 80 kilometers west of Atlanta.
