Information on my grandfather - James Ralph Poe

I'm looking for information on my grandfather. He is still alive but his memory is failing and he is unsure where his military records are. From discussion with him, he remembers 84th Infantry and Company K but can't remember what regiment he was in. I believe he was part of the 334th as seems to remember assaulting Verdennes on Christmas Day in 1944.

James Ralph Poe
Born 1923 in Boone County Missouri
Enlisted May 11, 1944

Any help would be appreciated.
