Thank you for your efforts in arriving to a solution on the subject of the Future of the Society.
Judging by the interest of my children, now married with their own children and responsibilities, I do not believe that there will be sufficient interest and/or financial support for a continuation of the Railsplitter Society.
The best solution would be to hold a final reunion - sometime in 2010 or 2011 - at which a decision should be made to dissolve and to donate any remaining funds to an organization which should be prepared to use a part of the funds to erect some permanent testimonial to the 84th.
