Looking for anyone who knew my Uncle William P. Thompson (Bill) of the 335th E Co.
He was Captain and took over as Commander of E. Co. after Dick Von Schriltz was captured by the Germans.
I'm writing a book about his life and I'm missing some time gaps. Like did he cross the Atlantic in the Sterling Castle with men of the 84th?
How he got his wounds (two purple hearts)
And just anything about him at all really.
I would love to corraspond with anyone that knew him or was in E. Co. of the 335th. 84th Infantry Division.
I know that he was in Headquarters Company for a short time.
Thanks for your help
Tommy N. Thompson
