Dear Tommy:
I am also writing a book about my brother's life, whose name was Irv Koltnow. I am sorry but he was not in Company E, but he was in Company F. I assume both were in the 2nd Battalion of the 335th Infantry Regiment, and experienced many, if not all, of the same battles.
With reference to crossing the Atlantic, Company F first started across on the Edmund B.Alexander, but that ship collided with another ship and had to return to New York, About 3 or 4 days later, Company F left on the Sterling Castle.
My book should be ready in about a month, andf I plan on distributing it without charge to members of our family, or anyone else who would be interested. I would also like to view your proposed book if possible.
