Dear Allan:
I have checked my records again, and now note that I was probaly relying on an oral report from someone. My brother, Irv Koltnow, 335th, did in fact cross on the Stirling Castle, which is the ship that had the collision. I may have confused the Edmund B. Alexander, which ship transported the 333rd about the same time, but did not have any collision. See "Foot Soldier" by Roscoe C. Blount. Thanks for the correction.
