My husband, Bob Nickel, was in Company F and was killed in the Battle of the Bulge. I have received much information from John Miller and also from Mr. Howerton. I hope you have read Mr. Howerton's book Dear Captain, et al. I certainly appreciated the information and the story since it was a historical novel. John Miller was very gracious in sending me the history of Company F and also the citation of a medal and a picture of his father and him.
Perhaps your brother knew Bob. I heard from several men shortly after the war ended. It would be interesting to see your book.
