Im doing research for my family about my Grand Father. I have photos linking him from his shoulder patch to the 84th Railsplitters. Leonard L Vernon was a PFC from Danville, Alabama inducted in Nov of 42 from enlisted papers I have copies of at Fort Mcpherson and was moved to the 83rd 330th Infanrty Regiment C Company in Dec of 45 after reinlisting. Im trying to get his unit info associated with the 84th to track his whereabouts. I know from a recent WWII service locally that he was the 3rd highest Decorated WWII Vet in the state of Alabama. Any help?? Thank you.
