The 84th Division roster lists S/Sgt. Cloves R. Cutrell of Joneboro, Arkansas as a member of Company A, 309th Combat Engineer Battalion. There is no further information.
Per the division history, "The 84th Infantry Division in the Battle of Germany" by Lt. Theodore Draper (Viking Press, NY: 1946), the company had three wartime commanders: Capt. Woodrow W. Pratt of Wyoming (hometown not listed in the roster) who was killed in action November 20, 1944; 1st Lt. Seymour S. Deutsch of Baltimore, Maryland, and; Capt. George R Dougtie who is not listed in the roster. The battalion roster is incomplete because the original was lost and reconstructed from various sources.
