Monthly after-action reports by regiment are with 84th Infantry Division records at the Suitland, Maryland facility of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Reference link below.
Suggest contact James B. Morgia who was the executive officer of Company E-334 and the acting company commander during the Beho attack (E-mail: jamesmorgia@sbcglobal.net ).
Beho was part of a broad offensive (Task Force Church) to close the Bulge involving all elements of the 84th Division. My unit (Company K, 335th infantry) was attacking the nearby village of Ourthe simultaneously with the liberation of Beho. That operation, that involved an all-day and early evening battle (January 23, 1945) with heavy casualties, is described in detail in my memoir, "Dear Captain, et al.: the Agonies and the Ecstasies of War and Memory" (Xllibris: 2000). Chapter 14, "Death and Night at Ourthe," also describes operations at Gouvy which was the focal point of the offensive with the 333rd and 334th regiments going after Beho and Audrang and the 335th moving into Ourthe. Ironically, there was strong German resistance in this area, especially at Ourthe, although by that time the Ardennes Campaign had virtually ended. This has been largely overlooked by historians.
