I would like to tell all of those who knew my Nana from the Army Reunions that she passed away in her sleep this morning at her home at the age of 86. She had fallen and broke her hip on her 86th birthday on Aug 9, 2008 and the recovery was too much for her. Please keep our family in your prayers. The obituary follows.

Susan Elizabeth "Nana" Keene Keller, 86, Nashville
Susan Elizabeth "Nana" Keene Keller, 86, of Nashville died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at her home.
Mrs. Keller was former manager of Bessire's Orchard. She attended Brown County Vineyard Church, was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and a former member of Bucks & Does Square Dance Club, Union (Dugger) High School Alumni Association and Railsplitter Society.
She was a former Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts leader and also was an IU sports fan.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville with Earl R. Piper officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America, 386 Park Avenue South, 17th Floor, New York, NY 10016.
Born in Sullivan Aug. 9, 1922, Mrs. Keller was the daughter of Noah "Claude" and Ethel Marie Moore Keene.
She is survived by a son, Mick (Rita) Keller of Indianapolis; a daughter, Jackie (Lee) Roberts of Nashville; a grandson, Randy (Kim) Keller of Greenfield; granddaughters, Susann (Charlie) Estle-Cronau of Danville, Lisa (Jason) Keller of Louisville, Ky., and Nikki Keller of Atlanta, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Case Estle, Katie Elizabeth Keller, Chloe Susanna Estle and Jack Dempsey Keller; six stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; four stepgreat-great-grandchildren; sisters, Della Thomas of Flint, Mich., Lola Crabtree of Jeffersonville and Katy (Don) Moyer of Silver Lake, Ohio; a brother, Homer Keene of Flint, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Dempsey Eugene "Gene" Keller, who died in 2000; an infant son, Larry Eugene Keller; brothers, Dorie, Charles, Russell "Pete" and Jackie Joe Keene; and sisters, Mabel Keene, Frieda Harrison, Thelma Davis and Sarah LaBlanc.
