For anyone who remembers Carl Epstein, the Company K, 333rd Infantry section of the 84th Division roster lists him as Pfc. Abraham C. Epstein of Pittston, Pennsylvania. He served during all three of the Division’s campaigns (Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe}.
The story of K-333 is told in "The Men of Company K" (William Morrow: 1985) by Harold P. Leinbaugh and John D. Campbell. Leinbaugh was the company commander and Campbell was his deputy. Their book received outstanding reviews and has become a classic. It is out of print but some new or used copies may be found through various Internet booksellers.
Another posting about Abraham Carl Epstein, indicating that he may have written for the 84th Division newspaper, The Railsplitter, under the pseudonym A. C. Ellis may be found at

(At the site and scroll down for January 26, 2009 posting) :
We would particularly like to hear from anyone with additional information about his work on The Railsplitter.
