Your Dad's listing in the roster for Company G, 335th Infantry reads as follows:
"Duell, Authur L. Pfc, R.A.CE, Kinsington, Conn."
R.A.CE refers to the Rhineland, Ardennes (Battle of the Bulge), and Central Europe campaigns
There is no sign of "Lucious" which would probably make him happy. The roster listing does not note the symbol "PH" for Purple Heart. This may be due to the fact that 335th Infantry personnel records were destroyed in a battle action near the end of the war and had to be reconstructed leading to some omissions.
As to his service, there are a number of research options, some quite complex, depending upon how deeply one may wish to pursue it. The best source of general information is the division history, "The 84th Infantry Division in the Battle of Germany" by Lt. Theodore Draper (Viking, NY: 1946). It is out of print but used copies and reprints may be found through Internet booksellers or Interlibrary Loan. My memoir, "Dear Captain, et al.: the Agonies and the Ecstasies of War and Memory" (link below) describes what life was like in one 335th Infantry company. This may be of interest as all of our experiences were quite similar.
Please post here or e-mail me if you have specific questions and would like to pursue further research.
