Would any of you fine gentlemen be able to provide me info or memories on my most beloved grandfather Sgt. Norman Long? He passed away a few years ago but the stories he told us were very few and far between. I suppose it was another one of those situations where he did not want to remember those awful days but to me these stories are as precious as any gemstone. He told us about the blase that wounded him and sent shrapnel into his eye and knees, and a memory of a field where a there was a barn with people hiding in it from right before the blast. But my memory is fading as his was I'm sure and I would love to know more. I'm a HUGE fan of veterans and have the utmost respect for the men who gave so much for our country.
Please let me know if any of you have anything for me to pass on to my daughter of her "Ya-Ya"
Thank you so much!!!
