Was in the Roer Valley until 12/21/44 and then went to Marche, then back to Roer Valley in Feb 44 and crossed the Roer at Linnich, Ger on Feb 23, 44. Then onto the Rhine. Stayed in Germany or thereabouts till he came back on the Maritime Jan 45.
My father is deceased and their home burned - so I have no pictures of my father during this time at all. I tried to get some through NPRC in STL, but my fathers records were lost in the 1973 fire. Any help would be much appreciated or if anyone knew him and could tell me something about what he did during the war?
Thanks in advance.
