As you know from reading "Dear Captain, et al." I and others with Company K, 335th had a very close call in that sugar-beet field on November 29, 1944. And thank you very much for buying the book and for your compliments. I always love hearing from readers and hopefully it has helped many understand the war and the 84th Division's role a little better.
Sorry to learn of your dad's health situation. Please give him my fond regards and best wishes. I am 91 and will be 92 in September. I am doing pretty well but some things are creeping up here and there . . . but, thankfully, I am able still able to carry on okay as of now. Sadly our generation is passing rapidly. But we have had a good run.
Regards and good luck.
This board is dedicated to the memory of CAPTAIN LEONARD REED CARPENTER, Company Commander, November 19, 1944 - March 27, 1945.
