My dad was Kenneth William Kamerrer, d/o/b 4/11/20. He died in 2006. He joined the 84th just before it was sent overseas, so his name is absent from many of the accessible rosters, although it's in the main roster. He was a second lieutenant when they went over, then became a first lieutenant and a captain. He was in the 334th Regiment, assigned to the anti-tank company initially. Company commander was Harry Deck. Carl Palm was another lieutenant in the company. Lt. Col. Lloyd Gomes was the regimental commander.
He is pictured in a sketchy book "Valor in the Bulge" as having "led Company C in the assault across the Sauer River..." I say sketchy because in one edition of the book, Dad is pictured, but in another edition, another person is pictured with a similar caption.
Just curious if anyone has any publications that mention him. I am also very interested in after-action reports if there are any for the 334th.
This board is dedicated to the memory of CAPTAIN LEONARD REED CARPENTER, Company Commander, November 19, 1944 - March 27, 1945.
