Yo Lizard....the truely sad thing is ...boot key harbor is a really nice spot ...with all the amenities you need within walking distance...and blue water within minutes....these people are going to distroy it for everyone and soon boot key harbor as you know it will be gone...the money everyone speaks of that is taking over WILL make it happen over time...just ask yourself this one ...if you had the bucks to buy a piece of land or a home there...would YOU want to look out at the floating junkyard....i think not...as for the self appointed politicos...they too will disappear...when the powers to be do take it all away ...they wont want these folks around either...they bring nothing to the table other then their warped view of how they think it should be...and when it comes time to go to the party they wont last...the key to it all ..in my view is boot key...when they get the green light to develope it ...the ballgame WILL change...and the city will simply abandon their plan for the moorings and all ....because there will be enough revenue generated from the development...in taxes and what not ...to not need a place for all the boaters....there will be docks and more marinas ...and if you cant hang with the big dogs...well you know the rest of that one...there may still be time to save it...but it would be very hard to convince some that they need to clean up their act and remember its 2006...the general concensus of most of the floating trash is that its tough to live on a boat ..its a differant lifestyle...the folks on the land dont understand !!!!!...HELLO... they dont need to understand ...NO ONE FORCED anyone to live this lifestyle...but sadly they will force them out of their backyard...the little clicks that have been in the keys for years will be gone too... cause they been so busy wondering were the 60s went they missed the ball themselfs...otherwise they would have had the horses to step up and compete with the big money...
