Posted by Jim Lowry 3rd... the "local live-aboard boaters" were there before the condos. As time as gone by, slowly the harbor changes. For better or worse, depending on who you are. The live-aboards took a stand a few years ago and won. They won because they stood together and "one vote turned into many" They harbor needs a leader... one who will unite the boaters again and work with the live-aboards and the city to bring about a better harbor for all. I am Jim Lowry, former Boot Key Harbor live-aboard and co-founder of "Take Back Boot Key Harbor. If you were there, I was the one who setup Docksides 1st Internet Access and along with Taxi Jim and Vince started the "Take Back Boot Key Harbor" movement. Now is time for a new leader to step foreward.

First... Roy and Bev do far more for the "locals" then any other bar. They remained open for those in need of shelter from the storms. They look out for those who are unable to look out for themselves.
2nd... Dockside "will be changing" within the next 8 to 12 months... and you may just be surprized.
