Posted by Jim Lowry Under a DOT Anchorage, "most of the time" anchor lights are not required. However, as we all know under the USCG Reg. we are required to burn anchor lights. The link is: http://uscode.house.gov/download/pls/33C10.txt Now "if" you read between the lines... a case can be made to request the USCG turn Boot Key Harbor over to the DOT; However, one must study long and hard before deciding this is what they want. So until then... lets just burn those anchor lights (360 deg.) at night.
