Posted by Jim Lowry The compromise we propose is calling for City Manager Mike Puto to conduct a cost analysis and feasibility study limited to adding the additional parking needed for the number of slips proposed. And the methods needed to protect children from the increased vehicular traffic, including a traffic light (DOT) to control access into the park and marina area. By limiting your resolution to these two (2) areas, it is acceptable because we can always use more parking at the park and before the city tries to go forward, these two items must be addressed. With this compromise, we would also expect once the study is completed and deemed feasible, aspects of the study should be carried out within six (6) to twelve (12) months so as not to have wasted the cities money. By moving in this direction we will not be put into a position where the cost analysis and feasibility study will be out of date. You are quoted as saying, you ". would be willing to take a slower approach. " Here is the slower approach the voters at the workshop will find acceptable. And again, the resolution you sponsored calling for a reduction in City Manager Mike Puto's spending threshold from $25,000 to $5,000, is absurd and needs to be withdrawn. We have a City Manager for a reason. To manage. Your resolution will only bring city business to a crawl and over burden the City Council, bringing back the 1 AM and 2 AM meetings. You are quoted as saying ""I feel it's the responsibility to do oversight on these issues, not to inhibit the city manager from being able to spend, but to make sure every dollar is spent wisely," Do you think it wise to pay for cost analysis and feasibility study regarding the City Marina, when it will be out of date two (2) years from Please, you have already placed constrains and taken enough corrective action regarding Mr. Puto. Now just let him do his job. Jim Lowry Yes, both of these letters have been sent to ALL City Leaders.

Councilman Vasil we believe there can be a compromise to the resolution you are sponsoring for Tuesday's City Council meeting agenda.
now? That does not sound like "every dollar is spent wisely"?
Mr. Vasil, don't burden the City Council with more than it already has.
