Hi John,
First let me address the failure to reply to your email. I have fought the marina and the city for many years... It is possible due to holidays he may not have been around. They don't work 24/7 365.
Second I am sorry you feel the way you do.
Third... please tell me about Davis Island, Vinoy Basin, and the Sea Plane basin... All Tampa Bay. The rule they are getting ready to put in place (if not already there) make Marathon pale.
Only by standing up as a group can boaters win a fight. Many voices together as one.
Shot John, if you are aliveaboard on a mooring ball in Key West, you don't even have the right to vote in a Key West Election.
One does not have to stay in a city... but if one does they live by their rules. Travel outside the US, you may not like their rules, but you will follow them.
Smoke a joint here, slap on hand. Smoke one in another country you could very well end up spends years in a not so nice place.
So John, please before you tell us about Marathon, go fix Tampa Bay. That is not being mean, so please don't take it that way.
Our waters are getting cleaner, our reef is starting to grow again, the Dolphins are back in the harbor and the fishing hasn't been better.
Try emailing the Ports Director and the City Council agin after the holidays.
