I believe that a lot of Ms. Buehler signee's are misled and/or have not spent the time to get the truth and facts. She has been getting signitures for three years now. I would be interested to see how many of the signee's are still in town and how many have changed their mind.
Since the last election, councilmen Vasel and Chique have been working very hard to stop spending and set the City in the right direction.
The most used complaint is City taxes. the fact is the City is very fiscal responsable except for a few pet projects like the fire station. You will find this in any government inity. The County is the big problem with taxes. You just can't get them to stop spending.
I would bet that most of the signees have not been here long enough to remember the County taking our "mstu" taxes that they charged the citizens in the Marathon area but using the money in Key West. We could not get a park or a road fixed. But look at the Harbor project in Key West which is just one example. Will you please tell us all about the corruption of which you speak so that we can get the facts on our own to either prove or disprove this allegation. Speak up and tell us the proof you have. Give some facts that can be checked out.
I too had and will probably continue to have problems with the directions of the council, but I do something about it, I write, call and go to the meetings to voice my opinion. Ms Buehler does nothing except try to undermind the City.
For those of you that don't remember she was the temp Secratary for the City and ran one or two time for the council but failed to get elected.
